WISAG is one of Germany’s leading industrial service providers. As an end-to-end system provider, the company manufactures complex welded assemblies as well as specialist vehicles and custom machinery.

Gothaer Fahrzeugtechnik is a market and quality leader in the fabrication of complex tubular and plate constructions in high-strength, fine-grained steels.
To meet the high-quality expectations of its customers, the company performs regular inspections. In the past, Gothaer Fahrzeugtechnik relied exclusively on metrology systems for these checks. But as components grew in size, verifying dimensional accuracy became increasingly tedious and time-consuming. Around three years ago, the company decided to test Twyn to streamline and accelerate the process.

Chropynska Slovakia is an engineering and manufacturing company based in Detva, Slovakia.
The company’s production program consists of turnkey automated welding and manufacturing lines and production equipment for various industries including automotive, aerospace and rail. Streamlined incoming goods inspection
The family-run KRONE Group is one of the largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery.
KRONE chose Twyn to optimize incoming goods inspections. The result: not only has the product quality improved, but logistics processes have become more efficient as well. Since introducing Twyn, it’s no longer necessary to bring parts and components to the quality control area. Operators can now carry out inspections directly where components are delivered. This is particularly valuable for KRONE as many big parts are stored outdoors.
What’s more, the company can now determine early on whether a component needs to be evaluated through a time-consuming 3D measurement or can be released for production directly. And even if a part does need to be measured using a coordinate measuring system, Twyn enables KRONE to precisely define which areas of the component should be analyzed in details.

Based in Croatia, EKO MEĐIMURJE is a European supplier of quality metal parts and welded constructions for world-renowned machine equipment manufactures.
With a wide range of highly complex products, EKO was searching for a faster and more flexible way to verify production quality. Because parts are shipped directly to customers, deviations or errors discovered upon arrival can be extremely costly. That’s why they decided to try Twyn. Using AR, manufactured components are verified against their CAD specifications, directly comparing the digital model to the physical part – based on digital twins.
With many helpful features and tools, like magnification, Twyn is the perfect inspection tool even for very large objects. Once deviations are found, they can be documented on site in real-time using photo captures, annotations, and markups and made available later as digital reports.
Before Twyn, manufactured components were compared to 2d printouts of their specifications. With Twyn, EKO can now perform AR-powered, faster inspections right on location, identifying deviations more easily thanks to precise 3D-to-3D comparisons.

Mechanical Engineering
We manufacture a huge variety of weldments, most of which are produced in small series or batches. Due to the high number of different weld-on plates and threaded studs, it is easy to position them incorrectly. With the use of Twyn, we were able to significantly decrease the number of quality claims for wrong positioning of these plates. Furthermore, the whole control process is easy and fast. Going for Twyn was definitely a good decision.
In the report, we can see the issue of offset holes on a larger part that we received from a subcontractor, and we immediately discovered the discrepancy during the incoming inspection. We immediately forwarded the report and resolved the complaint before it was shipped to the final customer.
The reseller was demonstrating the Visometry Twyn software at our company. For this demonstration, I picked a random product from our assembly facility, mainly because it was a small weld assembly and easy to handle. Right away, the software showed that the bracket was in the wrong position. Since this assembly comes in a left and right version, it meant that the whole batch of 10 assemblies was rejected. It also made clear how this mistake was made, which encouraged me to redesign the part in such a way that there was only one type of bracket, as opposed to the previous situation of different brackets for left and right assembly.

At Bergmann, we inspect all welded assemblies using Twyn software. The software helps us detect errors before the components are coated and prevents them from being discovered during assembly. This saves a lot of time and money. In the photo, you can see the inspection of a C805 front frame with Twyn View. Many of our suppliers now use the software, which leads to significantly fewer complaints.
During end-of-line frame weldment inspection, a bracket was found to be installed incorrectly (even with basic inspection – not using Assisted Deviation Detection). After further investigation, it was determined that the fixture allows the bracket to be installed at the wrong position. The fixture has since been updated.

We use Twyn as a tool to validate our assemblies. Often, it is a matter of a missing part or a major mistake, so it is well suited for Twyn’s capabilities. It saves us a lot of time and client returns. Now, a lot of people are able to use it effectively and quickly. It has become an important part of our inspection process.
Steel Construction
Twyn software is an excellent option for us to check the position, orientation, and size of small parts on our large products in a single inspection step. The "Assisted Deviation Detection" function also helps find defects with color signals. Inspection times have been reduced by about half to a third and reliability has improved.
At our company, we have integrated Twyn into our core production workflows to ensure 100% geometric accuracy. We utilize the software as a “digital master” throughout every stage of our quality control process. Specifically, our team leverages Twyn’s AR capabilities for real-time contour inspection of large-scale workpieces. By overlaying 3D CAD models directly onto the physical components, we can instantly verify the alignment, fit, and positioning of every part. We apply Twyn at several critical points in our production: - Assembly and in-process inspection: We identify and filter out potential deviations in the early stages of assembly. - Pre- and post-welding geometry checks: We ensure that only correctly assembled units proceed to welding and subsequently verify that thermal effects have not caused any prohibited deformations. - Post-painting and pre-shipping final acceptance: This serves as our final quality gate. We guarantee that the product delivered to our customer is 100% compliant with the blueprints and meets all industry standards. - Efficiency and documentation: Tablet-based inspection not only accelerates our QA processes but also creates a digital footprint, simplifying the generation of comprehensive quality assurance reports. This technology allows us to minimize scrap rates, avoid costly rework, and deliver products that meet the highest industrial standards for our partners.
A couple of months ago, we were tasked with the design and production of a very complex three-dimensional roof construction, whose pipes are bent in multiple directions. Twyn enables us to check the overall geometry and completeness of the individual construction components without having to browse through multiple PDF files. This is especially true for complex structures. Multiple times, we were able to locate incorrectly welded plates and fix them, thus improving quality and fit accuracy while simultaneously avoiding expensive rework on construction sites.

We use Twyn to support the setup of clamping fixtures in sheet metal manufacturing using augmented reality. Employees can directly superimpose the digital 3D model onto the real component and the associated clamping devices. This makes the correct positions, sequences, and distances immediately visible. This reduces setup errors, shortens setup times, and makes it easier to train new colleagues – a clear gain in efficiency and quality for our production.

Unfortunately, a single image does not do justice to the application of Twyn at Krone. It is not only the user-friendliness, but also the direct display of detected errors combined with report generation, and all of this on site. Colleagues from a wide variety of departments are familiar with the system and rely on us in quality assurance. We use Twyn daily in the following areas: QA incoming goods inspection: completeness checks, change checks, checking free-form assemblies. QA analysis: fault detection on assembly units, machines. Assembly: checking and documenting settings. Work preparation: setting up different devices. Suppliers: preliminary acceptance of welded assemblies.

At Mubea Aerostructures Ltd., we use the Twyn software to inspect aircraft parts. It is a major step in the development of our company that we have managed to integrate this system into our production area and can now use it effectively to inspect both finished products and individual parts.
Here you can see a bracket on a pre-assembled frame. You can see that the marked drill holes are on the wrong side. The reason for this is that there is a left and a right bracket. The fact that the brackets were mounted on the wrong side was quickly identified and corrected with the help of Twyn. We would have lost a lot of time correcting this error later in the assembly process.
