The future of quality control: Visometry showcases award-winning augmented reality technology at Control 2024
Darmstadt. Visometry, a pioneer in augmented reality (AR) solutions tailored for industrial applications, will showcase its acclaimed AR solution, Twyn, for visual quality inspection at this year’s Control, the international trade fair for quality assurance. From April 23 to 26, 2024, industry professionals will have the opportunity to experience this forward-thinking technology firsthand at booth 1513 in Hall 10 in Stuttgart and discover how it can significantly enhance production and assembly workflows through optimized quality control.
Twyn, a Visometry solution, offers quality control officers an easier way to check and quickly pinpoint deviations in welding and other complex assemblies right on the production line. Leveraging computer vision and automatic object registration, the solution enables precise inspection by directly comparing real components with their digital twins and CAD specifications to ensure the conformity of all elements. This aids quality engineers in refining manufacturing and assembly processes, reducing the need for rework, and cutting down on transportation costs.
During the 36th edition of Control, Visometry will showcase this versatile AR technology using customer objects, including manufacturing components from the automotive, fixture and metal construction, as well as agricultural and construction machinery sectors. At booth 1513 in Hall 10, Visometry experts will demonstrate how it works through engaging use cases, such as the inspection of welding assemblies from suppliers or the automatic control of assembly positions.
Attendees of the Control trade fair will gain insights into the latest software features of the quality inspection system, including interactive error indication and automatic fault detection during position and existence checks. These tools enable quality engineers to verify if subgroups and attachments are correctly placed. Additional support comes from enhanced visualization capabilities for target/actual comparisons and an optimized workflow: Control points and data from previous sources can now be integrated into the AR display more swiftly.
Also present will be the customer Chropynska Slovakia, specializing in the creation of automated welding and production lines for various industries. Representatives from the company will join Visometry at their booth to demonstrate how Twyn has helped accelerate processes and reduce costly rework.
“We’re excited to showcase our mobile inspection solution, Twyn, at this year’s Control, which facilitates intuitive and rapid quality control by comparing real objects with their digital twins. It significantly reduces the need for highly precise and sometimes time-consuming measurement technology early in the quality process, thereby substantially cutting down on effort and time,” explains Dr. Harald Wuest, CEO of Visometry. “We warmly invite industry professionals and members of the press to visit us at the fair and see for themselves the benefits and advancements in visual quality inspection. Together, we’re making quality control even more efficient.”
