Visometry charts a course for expansion

Darmstadt. Visometry, a pioneer in augmented reality (AR) solutions tailored for industrial applications, looks back at a successful 2023.

The team working out of Darmstadt, Germany fortified its market presence with a series of key achievements and milestones. As it eyes further international expansion, the company has once again set ambitious targets for the year ahead.

For Visometry, the past year was all about growth and attracting new customers: In 2023 the company made successful strides in broadening its global footprint. “Capturing new markets and industries was a major focus for us over the last year,” says Dr. Harald Wuest, CEO and co-founder. “Thanks to our innovative solutions for crafting custom industrial AR applications and ensuring quality within the industrial realm, we’ve made that a reality.”

With its VisionLib Engine, Visometry offers a globally proven AR tracking solution. Additionally, with Twyn, the team has developed a turnkey solution for visual quality inspection that not only makes inspections more flexible using digital twins and AR but also significantly accelerates inspection processes, reducing manufacturing costs. To better meet global customer needs, the company focuses on the continuous optimization of its software solutions. Last year, it made a significant step towards automation with Twyn – enhancing ease of use and user-friendliness.

This approach resonated with customers across a variety of industries in 2023, drawing in about 100 new customers from the automotive and mechanical engineering sector, the railway industry, and metalworking. These customers, including notable names like the agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle maker KRONE, railway vehicle producer CZ LOKO, and welding and production line specialist Slavia Production Systems, rely on Visometry’s tech daily. The surge in new business prompted a substantial expansion of the Visometry development team to tackle the growing demand and needs of its customer base.

“Many businesses have made our solutions a key element in their quality workflows, significantly enhancing product quality and boosting efficiency,” points out Harald Wuest. “The standout performance of our products enabled us to hit our ambitious targets right on schedule last year. We even surpassed our sales targets for Twyn.”

Asia takes center stage in international expansion

For the current year, Visometry plans to continue on its growth trajectory. In addition to strengthening its foothold in established markets such as Germany, Italy, Eastern Europe, and the United States, the spotlight now turns to Japan as a central step in its international expansion strategy. The company is also looking to unlock new industries and application domains. It plans to do so by rolling out advanced automation features designed to more effectively support customers in their daily quality assurance workflows.

“This year, we are focusing on integrating our innovative solutions even more seamlessly into our customers’ production processes, driving further advancements in manufacturing quality and efficiency,” Harald Wuest goes on.
