We loved seeing all the different Twyn applications!
The following Twyn users have taken part in the giveaway (selection):
We manufacture complex welded assemblies to customer order, whether for prototyping or series production. Our team uses Twyn on a daily basis to meet the high quality requirements of our customers. You can see a car body after welding and before painting in our final finishing process.
Here we check drive frames for our drilling rigs at the incoming goods inspection without having to remove them from the packaging, because Twyn already recognizes the contour despite the packaging material. This saves a lot of time during the inspection.
We produce equipment for the excavator industry, mostly sticks and booms. We use Twyn to check the positioning of smaller plates and bolts welded to the parts. So far we are very happy with the results, we’ve increased our productivity and avoided many claims.
Twyn software helps us in the inspection of welded parts, but also in the inspection of the completeness of assembled parts.
Inspection of excavator equipment with pre-assembled components
Checking the position of the holders and the attachment in the train car body.
Our company specializes in manufacturing power equipment. Among our products, transformers are assembled with various components. By using Twyn, the quality inspection process becomes intuitive and efficient, allowing us to quickly verify whether all components have been properly assembled without any omissions.
We use Twyn as a tool to validate our assembly. Often, it is a matter of a missing part or a major mistake, so it is well-suited for Twyn’s capabilities. It saves us a lot of time and client returns. Now, a lot of people are able to use it effectively and quickly. It is now an important part of our inspection process.
At the Liebherr plant in Biberach, Germany, we inspect our large steel structures before painting, thereby reducing rework costs and increasing our quality. The picture shows the inspection of the upper part of the tower of our MK140-5.1 mobile crane.
The Kitzmann company uses Twyn, for example, to check frames or racks in the tack-welded state before they are completely welded.
With the help of the Twyn software, we can quickly and accurately perform dimensional checks on all of our small and large steel structures.
The image shows a great example of one of the checks we do using Twyn. Here we are completing a 100% visual inspection on the part, where we are checking for all the components (like nuts, studs, fasteners, stampings etc.) and are completing a weld location validation. Using Twyn we have identified that we save a huge amount of setup time as this requires almost no setup. We also use Twyn for verification of a part during the first off, where we can identify any minor or major differences on the part.
